Project Pantry

I think we can all agree that we're all going a little stir crazy staying quarantined at home. Forcing myself to stay inside has given me the push I needed to complete some much needed home improvement projects. As many of you might already know, I love The Home Edit. I'm obsessed with their pantry organization projects.

I think we can all agree that we're all going a little stir crazy staying quarantined at home. Forcing myself to stay inside has given me the push I needed to complete some much needed home improvement projects. As many of you might already know, I love The Home Edit. I'm obsessed with their pantry organization projects.

After my husband got back from stocking up at the grocery, our pantry was a mess. Everything he purchased barely fit in our tiny little apartment pantry. This was my opportunity to do some serious organizational damage. I ordered some bins on target.com, pulled out my label maker and got to work.
First Shelf
The Tall Bin holds chips, cookies, etc. If you keep your sweets out of sight, then you're less likely to reach for them. We also keep our juicer stored here and our spaghetti from the OXO Food Storage Containers

Second Shelf
In the Medium Rectangle Bin, we keep all of our pastas. We have all of our sauces stored in a 1/2 Medium Rectangle Bin. Our rice stored in an OXO Food Storage Container. Lastly, we have our canned foods but I still haven't found the best way to store them that works for our pantry.

Third Shelf
On this shelf, I used a 1/2 Medium Rectangle Bin to store all of our oatmeal. Removing the oatmeal packaging and storing the packets in an easily accessible bin keeps this shelf clutter free. I also used two Medium Rectangle Bins - one for all of our breakfast food and one for all of our snacks.

Forth Shelf
I have all my baking supplies on this shelf in the OXO Baking Containers and Food Storage Containers. I also used a 1/2 medium rectangle bin to store all of our spices.

Fifth Shelf
I used three Medium Rectangle Bins. The first one on the right stores all of our plastic baggies - sandwich, freezer and gallon. The second bin holds our napkins, plastic wrap, aluminum foil and parchment paper. The last bin stores all of our paper plates, solo cups and plastic cutlery.

Floor Level
I used two XL bins on our bottom shelf. One is filled with water bottles and the second bin is filled with extra products and leftovers from our baking containers.

I also recommend labeling all of your bins. It makes your products have a home and keeps your pantry organized. I use a Brother label maker. Unfortunately, mine is no longer available, buthere is a newer version of what I have.

Here is what our newly organized pantry looks like. Now it's time to get started on another project. Stay safe!
